Obituary of June Marie Rose
June Marie Rose born the only child of Ruth Patterson and Leo Payne on March 15, 1926. June Marie Payne grew up in Wellsville, New York during the years of the great depression and World War II. June and her husband Richard Rose raised five children in Belmont, New York and Friendship, New York. June and Dick loved dining at "Moonwinks" and dancing the night away whenever in the presence of live music. Known to many as "Junebug" and to Dick as "Juniebell". June was a stoic survivor of many of life's hardships and tragedies. She was a trusted and true friend. She could be charming and gracious. She was a "tough nut" with a sharp and pointed wit. June died in dementia May 22, 2018. Predeceased by infant son Stephen Rose, 20-year-old son Richard "Butch" Rose, son-in-law Robert "Bob" Anatalek, husband Richard "Dick" Rose, 42 year old son Mark Rose and 73 year old daughter Patricia "Patty" Anatalek (Tony) Valentino.
Survived by son David (Joyce) Rose, along with 10 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren and two great-great grand children. Her youthful friend and later sister-in-law Margaret Middaugh Austin, still lives in South Carolina all these years later. June received always professional and often affectionate care her last several years at both Highland Hospital and the Episcopal Church Home.
