Obituary of John E. Sherwood

ROCHESTER: April 13, 2018, age 93. Predeceased by his wife, Helen, brothers Bob and Bill, and sister Rosemary Nixon. Father of Tom (Becky) and Susan (Grant Gutheil) Sherwood. Grandfather of Bridget, Colin, and Gwyn. Brother of Paul (Carol) and Pauline. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

John was a proud World War II Army veteran, serving in Europe, including the Battle of the Bulge. After retirement as a U.S. postal supervisor, he had time to pursue his passions for running, traveling and reading.

 

His services will be held Friday June 8, 11 am at the Bath National Cemetery, Bath, New York.  Donations in John’s name may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Association of New York State, found at https://www.hpcanys.org/donate/
