Obituary of Kathleen D. Drexel

GREECE - Age 67, passed away on Monday, November 12, 2018, in Rochester, NY, after a short but hard fought battle with cancer.
Kathie loved her family and friends.She lived life with the luck of the Irish, as evidenced by her uncanny ability to win contests, or at slots, cards, and dice. The best strategists on the street, using every statistic available were no match for her ability to pick the winning team, by the color of their uniforms, whether or not they were from a city she had visited, or whether her initials were in the team’s name. Traveling the world especially on cruises, and with the love of her life, was another passion, and her Betty Boop collection is the envy of many.
Kathie is survived by her devoted husband Art, her children Angela (Eric) Dexter and Shawn Carroll, her step children Mike (Linda) Drexel and Sandy McKenzie, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
Special thanks to the staff at Rochester General Hospital MICU for their efforts, care, compassion and support in her final days.
There will be a private gathering for family members at Kathie and Art’s home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be sent in her name to the American Cancer Society.
