Obituary of Albert C. Graves III

Albert Christian Graves III (Chris), 66, of Prattsburgh, New York, passed away at his home after losing his battle with cancer on Sunday, November 18th, 2018 surrounded by his three sons.  

Chris was predeceased by his father, Albert Christian Graves II, step-mother, Joyce Graves, mother, Mary Manning, and sister JoAnn.

Chris is survived by his sons Chris (Melissa) Graves, Michael (Christie) Graves, Eric (Michelle) Graves; brothers, Johnny Graves, Mark (Ann) Graves, Jamie (Lisa) Graves; sisters Kathy Harrell, Lisa Post, Jane (Ron) Skeels; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and many loving friends.

Chris was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hike, hunt and fish.  He loved spending his free time taking pictures, helping friends, and catching a grandchild’s sporting event when he was able.

A special thank you goes out to the staff at CareFirst Hospice for their loving care and support during his final days as well as the staff at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center.  Also, the family would like to extend their gratitude towards the Cremation Service of Western New York for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Charles City, VA.  Memorial donations in Chris’ honor may be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or the Warrior Kids Foundation of Central Florida.
