Obituary of Thomas J. Hendry

IRONDEQUOIT - Passed away unexpectedly on August 7, 2019 at 73. Predeceased by his father, Thomas and nephew, Alex; left to mourn him are his wife, Diana Moore; mother, Betty; siblings, Debi (Tracy) Smith, Donna Stassen, Karen (Bob) Lamb and John; many nieces and nephews; step-children, Chris and Susan Moore.
Tom did not suffer fools gladly and he had a cutting sense of humor. He was a master of well-timed sarcasm. Smart, fun, kind, thoughtful and generous, he was a true gentleman. Tom taught in the Rochester City School District for 32 years. He was passionate about music, especially jazz and bluegrass. A modern Renaissance man, he pursued interests in Inuit Art, travel, theater, literature, cycling, cooking and gardening. His water garden in Forest Lawn was a work of art! He will be forever missed.
