Rochester: April 18, 2017, age 91. Predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Robert, Sr. and her son Robert, Jr. Survived by her daughter, Mary McFarlane; son, Paul (Sharon) Phillips; grandchildren, Robert (Kim) and Laura McFarlane, Matthew (Jaime) Phillips, Cecelia (John) Robertson, Kathryn (Alicia Chester) Phillips, and David (Martha Luboch) Root; great-grandchildren, Brock, Sloan, Graeme, Jude and Olive. Dorothy was a graduate of the University of Illinois and an MA from the University of Rochester. She retired from Kodak as an education specialist, a job that took her around the world. She had a life-long commitment to serving others which lasted until her death.
A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church on Monday, May 22nd at 1:30pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 25 Westminster Rd, Rochester, NY 14607, the League of Women Voters at www.lwv.org or Planned Parenthood at www.plannedparenthood.org in her memory.
While we will miss her dearly, she often told us that she had a good life and that she lived every day to the fullest.
