Frances Macel Nellist
Passed away peacefully in Rochester, New York on December 1, 2019. She was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota on July 4, 1944.
Predeceased by her parents, Mary Margaret (Peggy) and Howard Herrmann. She is survived by her husband Roger G. Nellist whom she married in 1987, by her children George Herzog, Margaret Dynes, Kate Pappas, her six grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her cousin Judy, her sister-in-laws (Diane, Joanne, and Judy) and their husbands, her many nieces, nephews and friends. Fran was blessed with family and friends that gave her love and support and whom she loved. Fran is survived by her mother and father-in law (Arline and Gerald) whom she loved dearly. Fran is survived by her life-long friend Trudy Munding and Trudy's side of the family whom she loved spending time with.
Fran will be remembered for her passion for cooking, her love for being by the ocean, her love for travel, playing cards, and visiting family members and friends. Fran loved to travel to Toronto and Niagara Falls, taking time to go to a casino when she could. Fran loved visiting family in Florida, Indianapolis, and San Francisco. Fran enjoyed tour bus trips to New York City to see the Yankees play. Fran enjoyed going to Buffalo Bills Games and tailgating before and after the games. Fran attended all but one of the Buffalo Bills home play-off games during the Super Bowl years.
A Celebration on Life will be held at 11:00 am on December 7, 2019 at Mary Magdalene Church, East Rochester, NY 14445. Flowers have been taken care of.
