Obituary of Michael Bonaffine

Michael Bonaffine “Captain Mike” “Mr. Breeze” Died of COVID-19 on January 8th, 2021. Predeceased by his father Charles Bonaffine, Sr, and his mother Ruth Bonaffine Devlin. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife; Paula, his daughter; Katie (Kyle) Ginley, his step-son; Ian (Shannon) McNeill, his brother; Charles (Cynthia) Bonaffine, Jr, his sister; Kathleen Weyl, and his grandchildren; Addison Haughney, Levi and Sawyer Ginley, Skyler, Irelynn and Hermione McNeill, and many nieces and nephews. Michael was a Charter Captain for Mr. Breeze Charter’s and had his captain’s license since 2006. His happy place was Lake Ontario. He had a 30 year retirement from General Motors and was working at Kodak as a CNC Machinist. Michael had many friends, from his fishing buddies, his Orchard Park neighborhood friends and those he worked with. Anyone who knew Mike, knew he was someone they could count on. He touched many lives. We all loved his great smile and vivacious laugh. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. *Due to COVID-19, a memorial service will be held in the summer.
