Obituary of Dorothy Deubler

Deubler, Dorothy, (Dottie), Lee Macedon, NY: The joyous and beautiful Dorothy, (Dottie), Lee Deubler, (Livingston), long-time resident of Oneonta, NY, died peacefully on October 18th, to join her husband of 64 years, Earl E. Deubler, Jr. and her beautiful daughter, Barbara Marie in heaven after she bravely survived cancer for over 20 years. Born in 1929 to David and Helen Livingston of Owego, NY, Dorothy was the loving mother to David Albert of Macedon, NY - (Bani Ray), Helen Ann of Fairport, NY – (Brian McDonnell), Barbara Marie of Somona, CA, sadly deceased - (Michael Cullen), and Andrew Mark of Lewisburg, PA – (Cathy Delameter- Deubler). Dorothy was the very proud grandmother to Melissa, (Chicago, Ill), Felicia, (Wantagh, NY), Zachary, (Tyson Corners, VA), Samantha, (Fairport, NY), Mackenzie, (Philadelphia, PA), Abby, (Lewisburg, PA), and Griffin, (Lewisburg, PA). As a dedicated wife, Dottie enjoyed an adventurous life in the academic world supporting her husband in a journey that took their family from Ithaca, NY to Morehead City, NC , Worcester, MA, and finally to Oneonta, NY where they fulfilled their passion to support Hartwick College in various roles. Dottie also enjoyed a very successful and award-winning real estate career in Oneonta, where she took great pride and joy in helping folks find their next home. After their retirement in 1988, Dottie and Earl relocated to the Rochester, NY area and enjoyed a beautiful life in the Finger Lakes Region. Dottie’s memorial service will be announced in the near future, where she will be laid to rest with Earl over-looking the beautiful Pine Lake.
